HPNA/Boston

We are the local chapter of the Hospice and Palliative Nurses Association (HPNA). We provide education, resources, and support to nurses working with patients and families facing end of life, or life-limiting illness.

Confidential health information

All clinical case information in this blog is provided for the purpose of professional education, and meets the criteria for de-identified health information as set forth in the HIPAA Privacy Rule.

Specifically with regard to What Information is Protected:

"There are no restrictions on the use or disclosure of de-identified health information. De-identified health information neither identifies nor provides a reasonable basis to identify an individual."
